Graphic Design Internship: Major League Lacrosse - Major League Lacrosse (Boston, MA)

Major League Lacrosse is looking for a graphic design intern. This intern will work with our Marketing and Brand Manager on ongoing projects for the web, social media, and special events.  Candidate will be a part of the creative process for branding Major League Lacrosse.

Qualified candidates will have a working knowledge of the following programs:
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe InDesign

Candidates should have an understanding of the design process including design and typography, exporting processes to print as well to the web and digital file preparation. Intern will be able to work on different projects simultaneously and efficiently.

**An undergraduate or graduate major in the Graphics Design is preferred but not required for this position.

A cover letter is required for this position during the application process as well as references of past graphic design work.

The New York Lizards, New York’s Major League Lacrosse team, are looking for qualified individuals to join the team as CRM & Marketing Database interns during the Fall semester (August through December 2016).  All candidates must be eligible to receive college credits.   CRM/Database Marketing Interns will report directly to Lizards' Vice President of Ticket Sales and Operations and provide support to all initiatives regarding consumer insights, data analytics through data entry, analysis, and any other CRM/Database initiatives that will have a direct impact on the organization.  

Lizards' internships are part-time and allow students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience within a professional sports organization through hands on experience. The 2016 Fall CRM/Database Marketing Interns will be responsible the following duties:

  • Assist with lead generation, lead scoring, and evaluation of all sales and marketing campaigns
  • Identify new customer segments that would enhance revenues and drive growth; includes doing analytical research and building fan profiles
  • Assist with compiling and evaluating historical and current sales data and demographics
  • Build and structure consumer insight surveys from start to finish.
  • Creating systems and structures to house and maintain data.
  • Analyze large data sets to determine relevant trends and significant data points.
  • Build mass email communications and surveys through Hubspot and Google Forms and analyze interaction metrics.
  • Research best practices for data analysis.
  • Contribute to CRM and data analytics initiatives across the sales and marketing departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Full-time undergraduate/graduate student majoring in business management, statistics, data analysis, or computer science preferred.
  • Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, professionalism, and a passion for the sports industry
  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access)

Marketing and Communications Internship - Fall 2016 - Ohio Machine (Columbus, OH)

Overview

The Ohio Machine, a Major League Lacrosse team located in Columbus, Ohio, hosts internship positions on a quarterly basis, year-round.  This is an unpaid, part-time position that provides a hands-on, comprehensive overview of all aspects of marketing and promoting a professional sports organization.  These positions are open to all undergraduate and graduate school students and can be completed either for school credit or as an unpaid position for additional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with event operations including but not limited to venue set-up and tear-down, registration and fan interaction at select events;
  • Assist in the production of ads, flyers, brochures, and other publications for the promotion of ticket sales;
  • Assist in the creation of graphics for digital, print, and web communication vehicles for the promotion of the team;
  • Assist with the production of team publications such as press releases, game notes, media guide and others;
  • Assist with the maintenance of team website and social media accounts;
  • Assist with marketing, public relation and ticket sales campaigns;
  • Assist with the fulfillment of corporate partnership agreements;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate studies program;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe CC including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is a plus;
  • Must be able to provide reliable personal transportation;
  • Must possess excellent writing, editing, computer, organizational, interpersonal, oral communication and mentoring skills;
  • Ability to provide superior customer service;
  • Must have the willingness and ability to work long hours, including nights, holidays and weekends as required.
